SOLIDWORKS is Changing

Jun 5, 2023 | SolidWorks

As you may be aware, Dassault Systemes have announced some changes in SOLIDWORKS pricing that will come into effect on 1st July 2023.

From that date, all new purchases of SOLIDWORKS Desktop CAD licenses will include SOLIDWORKS Cloud Services as part of the subscription. Customers with existing SOLIDWORKS subscriptions will be able to upgrade to “subscription with Cloud services”. Also from 1st July, all new perpetual licenses will need to be purchased with two years annual subscription not one year as at present.

By adding SOLIDWORKS Cloud Services into all new licences, SOLIDWORKS users will be able to:

  •  Share 3D designs with ANYONE – directly from SOLIDWORKS. There’s no need to send a physical file or download special viewers. 3D design sharing and markup will be as easy as sharing a secure link from SOLIDWORKS.
  • Save data to the cloud right from SOLIDWORKS – providing a secure hub to store and access your design work. You will always know where to find your data and which is the most up to date version.
  • Use secure online data storage and sharing, versioning and revision management, easy design reviews with other CAD users and nontechnical team members all in a single hub to keep everyone on the same page.

In summary, there are some amazing tools to look forward to that will be included in your licences if you are planning on purchasing after the 1st July.

If you have any questions, or need to find out more, please contact your TMS SOLIDWORKS Account Manager and they’ll be happy to help.
