Smarter design with AI

Artificial intelligence continues to play a growing role in SOLIDWORKS 2027, with AI-powered tools designed to help engineers work more efficiently. New capabilities include natural-language macro generation, automated assembly instructions and tools that help convert existing geometry into editable, parametric designs. These enhancements aim to reduce time spent on repetitive tasks, allowing designers to focus more on solving problems and developing better products.

Improved modelling and drawing workflows

SOLIDWORKS 2027 introduces improvements to everyday modelling tasks, making it easier to create, edit and manage complex designs. Enhancements include more flexible sheet metal bend editing, new stamping capabilities and tools to simplify the management of large assemblies. Drawing improvements also help users create clearer, more consistent manufacturing documentation with less manual effort.

Better collaboration, data management and simulation

The latest iteration also brings enhancements to SOLIDWORKS PDM, Simulation and Electrical. Improvements to engineering data management help teams access and synchronise project files more efficiently, while simulation updates provide greater control over complex analyses. SOLIDWORKS Electrical enhancements support more accurate, traceable designs, helping teams coordinate their electrical and mechanical workflows more effectively.

Want to see these enhancements in action? Join TMS CADCentre in Edinburgh or Glasgow for our SOLIDWORKS What's New 2027 events. Discover the latest developments, see live demonstrations and find out how SOLIDWORKS can help you work smarter.
