Dunbar Race Engineering – Case Study

Jan 15, 2026 | SolidWorks, TMS

At the tail end of 2025 we had the pleasure of recording an in-house case study with Dunbar Race Engineering who specalise in creating bespoke motorcycle parts for 70s and 80s motorcycles.

They have extensive product lists for both Kawasaki's and Yamaha's from these eras all from their years of engineering and manaufacturing experience.

They have a further two divisions of the business that focus on mechanical design and sub contract machining where they work with every customer individually to achieve a product that is right for them.

Watch the full case study below.

Dunbar Race Engineering played a large part in the the Isle of Man Classic Superbike TT in 2019 as they helped design and create the bike that won.

A big part of their design process was using SOLIDWORKS. Learn how they use their software everyday to speed up their bespoke design to manufacture process.
