Autodesk Revit

Design Buildings & Infrastructure in 3D. Speak to Our Team to Discuss Your Business Needs.

What is Autodesk Revit?

Revit is a Building Information Modelling (BIM) software used by architects, engineers and construction professionals to design, document and manage buildings and infrastructure projects.

Unlike traditional CAD drafting tools that mainly create 2D drawings, Revit builds a smart 3D model containing detailed information about walls, doors, windows, structural systems, plumbing, electrical layouts, and more. Changes made in one view automatically update across plans, elevations, schedules, and sections, which helps teams coordinate work more efficiently.

Why Choose Autodesk Revit

Revit can drive efficiency and accuracy across the project lifecycle, from conceptual design, visualisation and analysis to fabrication and construction. Revit allows architects, engineers and construction professional to:

  • Model shapes, structures and systems in 3D with accuracy, precision and ease.
  • Streamline project management with instant revisions to plans, elevations, schedules, sheets and 3D visualisations.
  • Unite multidisciplinary teams for higher efficiency, collaboration and impact in the office or on the construction site.

Frequently Asked Questions About Revit Software & Training

Can I renew my existing Revit license with TMS CADCentre?

Existing licences purchased through another reseller can be transferred to TMS and should be completed at least 90 days ahead of the renewal date. Licenses purchased directly through Autodesk’s website cannot be transferred. Our team will be happy to advise.

Who uses Revit?

Architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, civil engineers, construction professionals, fabricators, computational designers, owners and more all use Revit to achieve their design, construction, operations and maintenance goals for buildings and infrastructure.

Are there different packages available for Revit?

Yes, there is a more cost-effective version of Revit called Revit LT and this is best suited to small businesses or solo practitioners. There is also Revit LT Suite which has all the same capabilities as Revit LT but with some tools for AutoCAD LT - which allows users to use the familiar drafting tools of Autodesk AutoCAD LT software.

Do you offer training in Revit?

Yes, we can offer training on all Autodesk products including Revit. These courses can take place in person, in our head office in Larbert or online in a virtual classroom, which ever solution would work best for your business.
