Pinnacle continues expansion with the acquisition of the Sage business of TMS Scotland Ltd, a Sage Partner based near Falkirk.

Pinnacle, a business management solutions and technology provider, marks its latest acquisition as part of a multi-million-pound expansion plan to position it as the premier provider of Sage business management software solutions across the UK and Ireland.

The acquisition of the TMS Sage 200 business for an undisclosed sum, further strengthens Pinnacles’ presence in Scotland, adding over 140 Sage customers to an already rapidly growing number of customers which is now in excess of 1,000.

It also increases Pinnacle’s Scottish team headcount, with a further 8 Sage specialists joining a team of over 120 based throughout the UK.
James Spencer, Managing Director of Pinnacle, said the acquisition underscores Pinnacle’s vision of providing world-class cloud accounting, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and technical solutions in local markets, while it continues to seek further acquisitions as part of the company’s growth strategy.

“We are delighted to make this growth announcement in such challenging times. The acquisition of TMS’s Sage 200 business will add significantly to our presence in Scotland, securing our position as the largest Sage Partner in this region. We believe our range of expertise and capabilities across Sage Accounting, ERP and CRM software solutions, combined with local delivery, will enhance our ability to unlock further geographical growth and expand our services in Scotland. We are delighted to welcome our new customers and colleagues to the Pinnacle family”.

Established in 1981, TMS, is a Scottish-based software company who specialise in supplying Sage 200 as well as specialist software and IT Support.
Alastair Thom CA, Director of TMS, commented on the acquisition,

“Pinnacle has an excellent reputation as both a leading Sage Business Partner and as a great employer. We are confident that we are passing both our Sage staff and Sage customers into safe hands. Our ex-colleagues will have the opportunity to advance, and our Sage customers will continue to receive a top-class support service. This acquisition will allow TMS to continue as a more streamlined & agile organisation – allowing us to focus on the continued growth of our CAD, Contract Costing & IT divisions.”

In recent years Pinnacle has rapidly expanded throughout the UK and Ireland, including strategic acquisitions geographically. Pinnacle is a 6 times winner of the Sage 200 Partner of the Year award and is part of Sage UK’s ‘Circle of Excellence’, reserved for leading Business Partners who provide outstanding customer service and whose customers are the most likely to recommend them to friends and colleagues.
