New Vacancy - Graduate Software Developer

Who are we

TMS is one of the primary developers of software solutions for the construction industry. Our core product, Elite Contract Costing, provides an unparalleled level of control over every aspect of contract management.

We are actively looking for developers to support continued growth of our software division. We are currently widening our product portfolio focusing on new technologies making it an exciting time to join our expert team.

Role

At TMS you’ll work alongside our senior developers to create a suite of web modules for our Contract Costing application. You’ll work primarily in our main tech stack of C#, VB.Net, Microsoft SQL Server and Blazor.

You’ll be supported by the rest of the development team to get up to speed with these technologies and our in-house rapid development framework.

This role would suit someone who has recently graduated or is about to graduate.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing new features in collaboration with colleagues
  • Work across the entire stack using modern technology and frameworks
  • Focussing on clear, readable and highly performing code
  • Testing and deploying releases to customers
  • Get involved with product discussions and the roadmap

Essential Skills

  • Solid programming skills in one or more programming languages
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong desire to learn and improve
  • Ability to work equally well individually or in a team environment

Desirable Skills

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap
  • Microsoft .NET development (C#, VB.NET & .Net Core)
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database design
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS

Autodesk Instructor

Who are we

We are a long-established Autodesk Accredited Training Centre and Authorised Reseller of Autodesk products, based in Larbert. We specialise in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks training for the Architectural, Engineering and Construction Industry.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Autodesk Instructor to take on the training role within our company, which has been offering CAD solutions for over 40 years.

Role

The position will include delivering training and support to our customers who have grown to expect a high standard from our classroom, onsite and online trainer led courses.

This is a varied and challenging role, covering many aspects of training Autodesk software. You will also be providing support to our Autodesk customer base – dealing with customer issues and requests; troubleshooting and solving problems, escalating where necessary to senior staff and/or Autodesk.

This vacancy is open to individuals who are professionals looking for a new challenge or have studied and/or recently graduated with relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and support to end users
  • Identify, investigate and resolve issues within Autodesk software
  • Log calls in our tracking system, and provide updates to users

    Essential Skills

    • Degree level or equivalent education (ideally with previous experience of implementing and using Autodesk software)
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Logical & methodical approach to problem solving
    • Self-motivated with good time management and organisational skills
    • Readiness to learn new products and processes
    • Ability to build relationships and support customers
    • Driving licence essential as travel may be necessary to deliver onsite training and support
